VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Thank you for your willingness to serve in this way;
our Sale would not be possible without our many diligent volunteers!
As a reward, volunteers have the opportunity to shop for their own resources on Friday at 1:30pm after setup is complete.
In order to shop for your books unhurried on Friday afternoon, volunteer to help with the Sale! Our greatest need is currently the Thursday afternoon/evening shift, when all sellers are dropping off their items. If possible, please consider volunteering Thursday afternoon/evening and then coming to shop on Friday afternoon. We especially need our youth volunteers the most during Thursday afternoon/evening shift.
• Volunteers are required to work TWO DAYS, either Thursday, May 16th OR Friday, May 17th for set-up, and ALL VOLUNTEERS WORK on Saturday, May 18th before, during and after the Sale. (Some of our amazing volunteers are available and willing to work all three days, and we need your help! Just sign up and serve and drop off your items when you arrive on your required days, and come help an extra day if you can!)
• WE NEED MORE WORKERS! Work on Thursday, May 16th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm (All volunteers shop on Friday at 1:30, after setup is complete)
OR
• Work on Friday, May 17th from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm (All volunteers shop on Friday at 1:30, after setup is complete)
AND ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST
• Work on Saturday, May 18th from 7:00 am – 4:30 pm (Leave earlier, if tear-down is complete)
• Carry & sort books; assist customers in finding resources
• Volunteers benefit by shopping for their own personal items after setup on Friday
(no setting aside items during setup) and gleaning through donated materials first after tear-down is complete and sellers have picked up their items on Saturday afternoon. Gleaning room is open to the public from 10am-12pm on Monday, May 20th.
• Bring your own snacks, meals and drinks (no vending machines onsite)
• NO childcare will be provided during volunteer shifts;
other arrangements must be made for your younger children.
• Volunteer Youth: Responsible, diligent youth workers ages 13 and older who would like to volunteer with their parent are appreciated at the Sale and may
earn high school community service hours (bring form for us to sign). Youth are expected to assist with setup
and teardown, and must show initiative in assisting customers during the Sale. Youth workers may NOT work without their own parent also volunteering. Please make sure the parent submits registration as a volunteer FIRST before registering your own youth workers.
